13.96 Miles Bike Ride

Since Covid, the past year has taught me to take a step back and to appreciate the finer things in life like nature. Growing up, my father taught me to ride my bike. Everyday after school, I would ride around my picturesque neighborhood. Ironically, decades later, I ride from Downtown to the neighborhood I grew up in and learned to ride my bike.

As a cyclist, I have fears of riding solo, but realize if I want to do it and spend some #metime, I have to overcome my fears. Yesterday morning, I woke up early to conquer those fears and ended up riding 13.96 miles. Physically, I felt good, but emotionally I was thrilled to conquer my fears. Time is precious for us caregivers, but it is important to seize the moment!
